Allen Mason Butch is our primary shop instructor at Ready Arc Training and Testing. He oversees all of the practical training of our pre-employment students as well as all journeymen training. Butch began his welding career in 1965 when he graduated from the welding program at Saint John Vocational School. He worked at Saint John Shipbuilding and then as an Ironworker until his teaching career began in 1979 as the welding instructor at NBCC in St. Andrews. Butch conducted all of the practical and classroom training at NBCC St. Andrews until his retirement from the position in 2007. During this time, he acquired his teaching certificate from the University of New Brunswick. In late 2007 he moved to Saint John and began his career with Ready Arc as the shop instructor. Butch is a highly skilled welder with knowledge in virtually every welding process. His decades of experience and mild manner makes him an incredibly valuable asset to the Ready Arc team.
